The pH Battery powered pre-amplifier boosts the signal from a pH electrode so that it can travel greater distances.
A typical pH electrode signal will travel between 15-20 feet. The reason for this is that pH signals are weak and
susceptible to outside electronic noise. The amplifier creates a more powerful signal which can be transmitted
longer distances up to approximately 100 feet.
